another occurrence!

this is a direct quote from an email I just got!
"...you have a knack for this psychotic connection thing. Just before I logged in to check my email (so before I saw your message) I thought to myself, "After checking email I'll take a look at Aaron's blog. I haven't seen it for a while, maybe he posted something new." Then I look at my email and here is a message from you. Weird stuff. I sometimes get coincidences like that with people calling me on the phone right as I'm taking out the phone to call that person..."
--From Aaron's Friend
I want to mention something here - I don't email this guy that often. And in the message I sent him (to which he was responding), I put a link to my blog (I thought he'd appreciate the pumpkin I had just carved). So that means that at the moment I was writing him, "Go look at my blog!" He was thinking, "I'll take a look at Aaron's blog."

Holy moly. I don't mean to get carried away, but if this isn't some kind of Jedi mind trick!

To take it even further, I don't know how often he thinks about me, or looks at my blog, but I do know that in the last year, I've only sent him 9 emails. 3 were emails I sent out to large groups (where he was included), 2 were responses to links he sent me, and 4 were travel-plan type emails to coordinate when we might be in each other's city. That means this is the first personally directed email I've initiated to him in over a year. I don't mean to sound like we're not good friends or something either, because we are, it's just that kind of friendship where you don't need to talk to each other all the time. You know, but you can still pick up right where you left off next time. You know what I'm talking about, right?

Anyway, I think that there must at least be some kind of psychotic connection going on here too. So it's not just with Jessica. And me and this friend are totally platonic, so don't get any ideas either.

P.S. - I don't mean to deprive my friend of credit for his email (and his own psychotic connection), by not giving his name, but I thought it was more important to protect his alter ego in this case. So don't think that I just made this up. He's real all right!
